GWYNEDD FRIENDS MEETING

The Gwynedd Friends Preschool and Kindergarten aims to nurture the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth of each child. In 2020, we collaborated with the school to extend this mission into Gwynedd Friends’ historic, 13-acre campus.

The master plan provides a framework for site improvements while preserving the landscape’s heritage and natural beauty. The plan also prioritizes landscape performance by allowing natural and operational processes–from stormwater management to landscape maintenance–to function resiliently in the face of climate change. The plan offers nature play, educational water play, flexible gathering spaces, community space, updated circulation, parking, meadow, and groves. Our work with the Owner has continued with initiatives for a rain garden, bus shelter, and a nature playground.
